Weak steel industry pushes down FeSi production

Despite a slow down in the growth of crude steel production in 2007, the year still managed to end up over 7% y-o-y at 1.34 billion tonnes. This year will see a much different picture as we expect growth to increase by just 2.8%, and slowing even further next year. 2010 should mark the beginning of some sort of an upturn and we predict average annual growth of just under 5% through the remainder of our forecast period.
