Iron Ore Cost Model 2009

The Iron Ore Cost Service is a unique database of producer costs and technical information, that uses the latest generation modelling software, to offer you unparalleled support for improving business and operational decisions across the iron ore mining and steel sector.

 Iron Ore Cost Model
Iron Ore Cost Model

The Iron Ore Cost Service is the culmination of significant, in-depth research into the iron ore industry, led by our in-house technical and cost experts the Iron Ore Cost Service is a database, providing a state-of-the-art, time series model that gives the latest production and operating data for sixty-eight operating and planned mines across the globe.

The model provides in-depth cost analysis and benchmarking at the mine, regional and global levels, for each year from 2000 to 2015.  CRU’s methodology is to apply ‘Value-Based Costing’ (VBC) which integrates the traditional industry ‘cost culture’ into a broader ‘value culture’ in order to provide more meaningful cost estimates. Such functionality provides an invaluable service to participants in the iron ore industry looking to improve the quality of their investment decisions
