This report is the fourth in a series of triennial studies by British Sulphur Consultants, and takes a systematic approach to the analysis of demand, supply, trade and costs in the industry, assessing the impact of recent and forecast changes to the supply-demand balance through to 2007.

The report provides an exhaustive description and analysis of end-uses, and quantifies their relative importance under six broad groupings: detergents and cleaners; food and beverages; metal treatment; water treatment; toothpaste; and speciality fertilizers. In addition, over 30 other end-uses, are profiled ranging from the production of activated carbon, through the demand for phosphoric acid in fuel cells, to the use of phosphates in textile production.
