The MICA (Minerals Industry Competitor Analysis) Database has tracked the financial performance of all the major metals and mining companies since the late 1970s.
Both annual (from 1978) and quarterly financial data are included. As well as providing company-by-company data, the MICA database allows you to calculate aggregated or average results by industry sector or country of incorporation, or for any chosen group of companies. You will also find it simple to make comparisons between companies, and rank them using over 100 variables covering P&L accounts, balance sheets, shareholder returns and a variety of performance ratios.
The database is an invaluable analytical tool for you to answer the key questions facing the copper industry such as:
- Which copper companies are the star performers in terms of shareholder returns?
- What are the key financial factors explaining success?
- Is cost of capital a competitive advantage?
- Do stock markets value metals and mining shares correctly?
MICA holds financial data for the following copper producers. Those marked with an asterisk also have quarterly or half-yearly financial data available. Those marked with an obelisk are/were included among the CRU Majors.
